Vigilance - a condition of spiritual progress
"Vigilance is an essential condition of spiritual progress. Every moment of the day, you should be watching the thoughts, desires and feelings that pass through you, as well as your loss of energy. In your inner laboratory, you must study how things really are and see whether you are continuing to walk the right path or losing your way.
Occasionally I find myself asking someone, ‘What are you thinking?’, and they reply, ‘I don’t know’. And that’s how it is: they don’t know! Currents and entities enter them and leave them, and they notice nothing. How will someone like that be able to face the difficult situations that will inevitably arise for them? They will always be weak, disorientated, uncertain, pulled this way and that! Whatever currents pass through you, try hard to recognize what kind they are and which realms they come from; that is how you will progress. In an initiatic school, there is room only for those who are learning to become conscious."Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
