Discoveries - outside ourselves depend on what we have first found within
"Do not think you are going to discover outside yourself what you have not first found within. No, because if you have not already found it within you, even if you did come across it outside yourself you would pass it by without seeing it. And so, the more you discover beauty within you, the more you will find it around you. Perhaps you think that if you did not see it before it is because it was not there… No, it was there, but you did not see it, because something in you was missing. Now that you have discovered your inner beauty, you also see beauty outside you.
Everything we can see in the outer world is simply a reflection of our inner world. So, do not expect to meet with, say, love, wisdom, purity or truth, either, if you have not first made the effort to find them and develop them within yourself."Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
