"When you feel anger or exasperation mounting in you, how many of you think of channelling this energy and using it to light up your town or turn your millwheel? (Obviously, you must transpose these images…) Most people let themselves get carried away and then boast about it: ‘Hey! I showed that imbecile a thing or two!’ It is true that in their anger they have spoken their mind, but most of all they have drained themselves of their energy, which takes a great deal of time to recover.
But anger is only one example. There are so many other instances in which precious energies are wasted! Take malicious gossip, for example, which is such a widespread vice. To complain about others, to criticize them, blame them and interfere in their affairs drains the mind and heart. So it is up to you to examine yourself, to notice the circumstances in which your force comes and goes, and to analyse why."Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
