Encounters - nourishing our soul with the subtle life in human beings
"Human beings can be compared to flowers or fruit... or even to vegetables! When you come into contact with them, when you look at them, talk to them and listen to them, it is as though you were breathing them in or even tasting them. But what do you actually do most of the time? You look at their clothes, their jewellery, their faces, hands or legs, but you never seek to nourish your soul with all the life that is there, hidden within them – the life that emanates from their heart, soul and spirit. And this is a pity.
So, from now on, pay more attention and try to learn to appreciate human beings who carry this subtle life within them. Stop before them and tell yourselves, ‘They are aspects of our heavenly Father and divine Mother. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, divine Mother. These “flowers and fruits” have given me the opportunity to come closer and to contemplate you today. Through this splendour, I can breathe in your fragrance and taste your sweetness!’ And you will be happy as you go on your way because these fruits and flowers will have brought you closer to heaven."Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
