Guide, spiritual - dangers in taking on this task if it is not predestined
"Many jobs are difficult and require very long years of preparation. But the most difficult 'job' is that of leading humans along the path of divine light and divine glory. To prepare for that takes several incarnations; one should even have been created for it.
And yet, there are so many people who imagine they are capable of guiding others! They 'set up shop' to attract disciples and think they are giving them a teaching. But what teaching? Reflected in their advice, in the instructions and directions they give, are all the imperfections and shortcomings they themselves carry inside and which they have never thought to put right. And so, instead of getting their disciples to climb the steep paths to the sublime heights, they lead them astray along ways full of pitfalls. And they themselves often end up being led over a precipice."Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
