"When autumn comes, the archangel Michael separates the fruit from the tree. With his sword, he severs the connections. But this separation must take place at the right moment, just as it must in childbirth. The child is like a fruit that detaches from its mother, the tree, and this separation must occur at exactly the right moment; the umbilical cord should not be cut prematurely.
In the same way, the Archangel Michael separates the human soul
from the body, which is its husk. In a sense, the soul too is placed in the granary, in other words in a peaceful place in the invisible world, where there are no mice or diseases and where the master of the house watches over it. Later, it will be re-sown, in other words sent to earth to be reincarnated. Once again the soul will experience winter: it will suffer as it remembers nostalgically the place it has left, that place where peace and light reigned."Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
