"It is always up to you whether you are influenced by something or not. Even infernal spirits cannot force you. Obviously, if you have no discernment, if you take no precautions and don’t know how to protect yourself, they can have an influence on you. They present you with all kinds of bait, and if you swallow the hook you fall into their net, and after that they lead you, quietly and imperceptibly, to your ruin. God gave them this power… but only if you are weak, if your consciousness is not enlightened. Once you have allowed yourself to be drawn in the direction the dark spirits wish to take you, they have formidable powers over you. But it’s you who are to blame. They are what they are; they’re allowed to be tempters. It’s up to you to be lucid and vigilant so as not to fall into their traps." Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
