"Les humains savent ce qu’est la poésie, oui, mais dans les livres, pas dans la vie. Dans la vie, la plupart sont froids, figés, ternes, prosaïques, terre-à-terre, rien de subtil n’émane d’eux. Ils abandonnent la poésie aux poètes qui l’écrivent, et même si, de temps en temps, ils lisent un peu quelques vers, la vie qu’ils mènent n’est pas poétique. Désormais, une nouvelle conception de l’art leur apprendra à vivre jour et nuit dans la poésie, c’est-à-dire à manifester quelque chose de lumineux, de chaleureux, d’expressif, de subtil. Et c’est à ce moment-là qu’on commencera à les aimer.
Les humains sont extraordinaires: ils ont besoin d’être aimés, ils ont besoin d’établir de bonnes relations entre eux, mais on dirait qu’ils font tout pour se repousser mutuellement: ils restent fermés, sombres, lourds. Comment peut-on être aimé quand on se montre tellement antipathique? Pour être aimé, chacun doit apprendre à vivre une vie poétique afin d’apporter aux autres la chaleur et la lumière."
